Our February 4th Community Consultation meeting was well attended and much positive support was expressed, along with constructive feedback based on local knowledge.

The first season of the on-street parklet, our newest public space in the Village, was a great success and we're so thrilled with all the positive feedback from community members. Located in the heart of the neighbourhood, just north of Lonsdale on the east side of Spadina, this parklet quickly became a hub of activity and a regular destination for locals.
While this exciting public space enhancement project may have been set back by a year due to the prohibitive cost associated with the original custom design, our new seasonal parklet is now in place on Spadina Rd. in the heart of Forest Hill Village!
Following a well received series of concert in the park events last year, the BIA will again be hosting free live acoustic musical performances at the small public stage in Suydam Park - Spadina Rd. at Coulson Ave.
It may have taken longer than we'd have liked, but all three pieces of street furniture that were destroyed back in January by a sidewalk snowplow have been replaced with new items that are safe and ready to use.

Less than 6 months after our brand new benches, chairs and planters were finally installed throughout the village, several pieces of street furniture were damaged beyond repair by a careless sidewalk snowplow operator.
A claims process has begun to receive compensation to cover the damage - two benches will need to be replaced and one planter repaired by replacing one half section (near Green P lot). Unfortunately, these things take much longer than we'd like.
